The work captures the fragilities of the human condition juxtaposed against the hollow exuberance of modern society. This contrast depicts the apathy of the powerful, who happen to be deeply entrenched in consumerism and material pleasure, towards the weak and feeble suffering the accident of birth.

The artist's perception of the status quo manifests itself in her work in the form of pop imagery, intertwined with historical references.

The mistakes of our past have manifested into our present, a reality that people live in denial of and continue to show the same indifference and callousness that were trademark of the British colonial government.
